Pickleball in Bridgeport, West Virginia

Bridgeport has eight free dedicated outdoor courts at Deegan and Hinkle Lakes Park and a large indoor setup at The Bridge Sports Complex. The city reserves the outdoor courts for adult open play Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

The outdoor sessions are the first choice for beginners and solo visitors because they provide a scheduled rotation without a fee. The Bridge supplies an indoor alternative for members and day visitors when weather or winter conditions limit park play.

Outdoor Courts and Indoor Pickleball

  • Deegan and Hinkle Lakes Park Pickleball Courts, 2890 Hinkle Lake Road, Bridgeport, WV 26330. The city has eight dedicated outdoor concrete courts with permanent lines, nets, and lights. The courts are free and open throughout the year until 10:00 PM. Adult open play reserves all eight courts Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Restrooms and water are elsewhere within the park rather than beside the courts. View city park access and court information.
  • The Bridge Sports Complex, 400 Forrester Boulevard, Bridgeport, WV 26330. The complex can set up eight indoor hard pickleball courts with portable nets and lighting. Members play without an added court fee, members can bring one guest player free, and other visitors pay a $10 day fee. General facility hours are Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Pickleball court availability follows the weekly sports schedule. • Veterans Memorial Park, 2 Veterans Memorial Drive, Clarksburg, WV 26301. About 10 miles from Bridgeport, the park has nine free dedicated outdoor courts. Harrison County Pickleball runs open play Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM to noon, adding another weekday morning option.

Beginning with City Open Play

New players can start at the Monday open play session from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Deegan and Hinkle Lakes Park. All eight courts are reserved for the session, permanent nets are in place, and no admission fee is charged. Arrive near 9:00 AM and join the player rotation.

No recurring Bridgeport beginner clinic with current dates is published. Harrison County pickleball ambassador Angela Oliverio teaches and helps new players through the regional group. For individual instruction, use this site's Coaches section.

Weekly Open Play and Regional Competition

Bridgeport adult open play runs every Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the city courts. These sessions are distinct from general free court access and give solo players a predictable group.

The Clarksburg and Bridgeport PlayTime Scheduler carries player organized sessions at local courts. Nearby Veterans Memorial Park hosts the Pickleball Showdown West Virginia from September 25 through 27, 2026 and World Pickleball Funday on October 10.

Your Bridgeport Game Plan

Solo visitors can enter the city open play rotation Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM or Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Go to the eight courts at 2890 Hinkle Lake Road and bring a paddle and balls. The courts and permanent nets are free.

Visitors with partners can use the outdoor complex at any available time before 10:00 PM. For indoor play, The Bridge charges a $10 day fee to visitors who are not entering as a member's guest. Use the weekly sports schedule to select a pickleball court period rather than relying only on the building's operating hours.
